I'm a Mummy.

Hey everyone :)

The puppies have arrived!!!!!

They were born last night, we have 4 little boys & 2 little girls. They're all doing super well.

My humans say I am being a great Mummy to them!!!!

I feed them and give them a little wash (to make them pee & poop) and then we all have a little snooze before it's time to start it all over again.

I love my puppies sooooooooooo much.

More pupdates to follow!!!

Love getting muddy....

Hello Everyone :)

Well the roasting hot weather seems to have gone for now so I am pleased about that. Yesterday evening in fact we had a thunderstorm and some really heavy rain. It made some massive puddles to splash about in!

I have been having some fun getting very muddy (much to my humans annoyance!) I have been digging a massive hole, maybe I might even make it all the way to Australia BOL.

Here is the mucky me:

And another pic of my big belly:

My humans finished building my whelping box, it's pawsome! Take a peek:

I have stopped having my bones now because us doggies are supposed to have no calcuim rich foods from 10 days before we whelp. So instead I get minces & chunks of meat. My eggs have no shells (not that it matters cause I never eat the shell anyway) and I don't have any cheese for treats or goats milk or yogurt.

We are all ready for the puppies now :)

Hot Weather AGAIN & Preparing for Puppies!!!

Hey guys!!!

Boy, has it been hot here!!! Extremely sunny weather. I don't like the heat that much because with my fluffy fur coat I find it quite a challenge to stay nice & cool. I tend to spend the hottest parts of the day either inside or in the shade. Even the humans say they want it to be cooler!!!

They have been making me ice pops as a summer treat!!! My human put's some water into a little bowl or cup and then pops in a few treats. Then it goes into the freezer for a little while & once it's all frozen then us doggies share it as a yummy snack.

My humans have been super busy building me a whelping box for me & my pups. It is looking really good now and not long before it is finished. (They say it will be ready for the weekend!) How exciting!!!

They have got some more supplies for the puppies, like ribbons in a rainbow of different colours to tell the puppies apart at a glance. Although, obviously, I will know which pup is which :) They say we can then give them nicknames like Mr Green & Cadbury (for the chocolate coloured one) & Candyfloss (for the baby pink one) Sounds cool to me.
Me & my human x

They also got a comfy bedding thingy called "Vet Bed" for me & my puppies to sleep on. It is a blue colour with pawprints all over it.

My human has re-clipped my tummy ready for the puppies.

I now have 4 meals a day because the puppies are pushing against my tummy (they are getting big now!) so I can't take large quantities of food all in one go. It means I get things like chicken wings (that normally the smaller dogs eat) because my normal turkey drumsticks etc are too big at the moment.

Did you know it is only 13 days now until my puppies are due??? Then I will be a Mummy :)

Skye.

Last year we puppy walked a Flat Coated Retriever puppy called Skye. Skye was a trainee Autism Assistance puppy when we had her (she was with us for a year - from 9 weeks until 12 months)

Whilst Skye was with us she was my best buddy, we had lots of fun times together and got up to plenty of mischief!!!
I was a great big sister to Skye!
Skye had a special jacket which meant she could go ANYWHERE (cool, huh!?!) and part of her training was for the humans to take her to different places and lots of them, like cafés, cinemas, pet shops etc. She also had to learn some commands and how to be well behaved!!!

Skye had to leave us in March 2013 to continue her journey to becoming a special autism helper doggie. She was going for her "advanced training". We were all sad & really missed Skye, because she had become one of the family, but we knew she was hopefully going to make an amazing difference to the life of an autistic child & also their family.
Hello again
Cuddles

WELL DONE SKYE :)
However, we still got to see her now & then. And the good news is that on Monday Skye graduated as a fully trained working autism assistance dog!!!! Yipee. We are so proud of her xxxx

I got to be re-united with my Skye once again and her new Mummy said we can still see her sometimes & she will also send us some photos and let us know how she is doing. So it isn't goodbye really!!!

Best Wishes to Skye & her new family xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hot & Sunny Weather.

Oh boy it's been soooooooo hot here over the weekend!!!!!!

And trust me I haven't enjoyed it that much.

With my mostly black & thick long coat I get hot really easily so I don't find hot weather days particularly enjoyable. I mean would you humans like to wear a fur coat in the Summer!?!

However my human made me a paddling pool in the garden so I can splash around in that to help keep cool.

Today my humans clipped my tummy ready for my puppies coming in a few weeks time. That's also helped keep me cooler.

Here's the new look:

Today it's a little better as we have a breeze but it's still too hot!!!!

Anyway, guess what!?! This evening Bramble came back after her week away!!! So glad she's back again.

Rozie stayed with us whilst she was gone and we had a good time with her.

So best be going now!

My News.

First off, yesterday Bramble had to go away for the weekend (my humans say this is part of her training) so we said goodbye to her for now. Can't wait until she comes back next Monday.

Then my best doggie friend (other than Holly, Wilson & Bramble of course!), Hannah, came over for a visit.

She & me had an explore of the garden, and went to see the kittens, goats & hens to say "hello" Then we chilled out on the grass in the sun.

Then, another doggie arrived. Meet Rozie.

We are minding her for this week. She is an 11 month old Labrador X Golden Retriever.

So Rozie is a lovely dog and she likes to play with her toys. And play with us dogs. And human cuddles.

That's all my news for now.

Saturday's Sunny Seaside Adventure

Well, on Saturday I had some fun adventures to share with my blog friends!!

We went to a place nearby the seaside. This is where my human's grandparents live. Normally we go to their house, but today we went to the town instead.

It was a nice sunny day and my humans took me for a stroll around, alongside the harbour wall. Luckily for them, I didn't jump in - although it was tempting. We met a few
dog lovers who gave me s
ome cuddles and then we went to a grass park area, where I caught my breath again (You know, carrying them puppies around is hard work!)

Then on the way back to the car my humans let me have a little splash around in the sea, to cool off. I love playing in the water and had fun. Holly & Wilson joined me in the water, although they couldn't come in as deep as me (because they were on-leash, as their recall isn't perfect, although I was off leash because I am such a good girl)

Then we had a nap whilst the humans had some lunch (no leftovers for us though....)

This is when the fun really begins!!! The humans drove to some place called a "sand bath" where we had never been before. So we had to do lots of exploring & sniffing.

Wilson
We met another doggie, a Jack Russell. The little dogs liked meeting him, because he was just their size.

There was some more water for me to paddle in, and Holly & Wilson had a swim (it wasn't deep enough for me to swim in though) We got quite wet!!! And then shook ourselves off all over the humans :)
Holly

I rolled around in the sand and then we just had a great time walking about. Some of the humans climbed up these rocks and got quite high! I decided to stay down at the ground though, thank you very much!!

I laid down tin the sunshine for a while, just watching the world go by. I even saw a horse!

Then we headed back and in the car park I met a Collie X puppy, who was cute. She had the same coloring as me - black, white & tan, except not as "symmetrical" as my humans call it.

Meet Sadie.
Then we went back to Grandma & Grandpa's house and there was a visitor there. A Labrador called Sadie. She lives at a nearby farm & often comes down to play. She is still a puppy really & Wilson's new best friend.

Home time!
