Our Summer so far....

We've been having a good Summer. We've had some pretty hot weather, which the Bernese aren't keen on (they stay in the shade) but the little too love (they sunbathe). We've had a lots of fun on the beach - the dogs love chasing seagulls, paddling in the sea, doing zoomies in the sand and they made a new friend, a terrier, who leaves right by the beach and joins us when we go for a walk there!

We had a family party which of course meant lots of people around the house. The dogs coped well with the busyness though and loved cleaning up all the crumbs on the floor afterwards!! We also had a bouncy castle which they loved exploring :)

We still have Louis, the foster pup, even though he was planned to go to a new family by now. Long story. We're now keeping him until the start of September. Other than sometimes annoying the other dogs with his puppyness and chewing EVERYTHING at the moment, he's a brilliant dog and recently discovered the joy of swimming. All the encouragement he needs is something to retrieve and he jumps straight in!

We've also moved the dogs back onto Acana Wild Prairie Kibble - the raw just wasn't working for us. They are also getting Lily's kitchen tins, scrambled egg, steamed mackerel and dried meat chews; they seem to be happy with the change of diet and it's suiting them much better so far.

Cody also celebrated his 1st birthday! He's 48kg now, his birth weight was 520g so he's grown quite a lot since the 29th July last year. He got one of those ultrasonic sqeauk dog toys, which only dogs can hear.
